Our favorite takeout restaurant! The pancit mixed party tray tastes like home cooking: tasty comfort food with generous amount of quality ingredients (shrimp, chicken, bits of lechon kawali, lots of vegetables) on a well-seasoned mix of bihon and canton noodle. I can eat this dish for several meals in a row and still crave for more!
Other dishes we've tried that are also good: Yang Chow fried rice party tray (really anything with kawali in it is great), #56 Beef with eggplant, #71 Eggplant with black bean sauce, #73 Pinakbet (very yummy!). We've also tried the pad thai here - not crazy about it, especially when compared to the outstanding pancit. -

This restaurant has some pretty good Filipino dishes.
The place is small that can fit about 40 people.
Servers are nice but a bit forgetful on some details of your order.
But if you politely remind them, they will make sure they correct their mistakes.

Been here twice now and it's delicious and really well priced.
First time I got the Red Thai Curry combo which came with spring rolls - it was great curry, especially since it's a Filipino place. Spring rolls were lovely too. Crispy and filling. Good portion sizes on both and an excellent price $10 more or less with tax.
Second time we got the fried pork belly, Cantonese Chow mein and cheese wantons - all for $44! And huge portions too! They don't skimp. There were 12 wontons, a huge plate of noodles topped with chicken, shrimp, beef, and a ton of veggies and the pork belly was so filled.
Will definitely come back for a third time! -

Was craving Filipino food on my last night in TO before heading back to Vancouver and found this place. The kare kare was pretty good. Rich thick peanut sauce. Lumpia Shanghai was a little bland especially the 'red sauce' that it came with. Would have paired better with soy sauce, garlic and vinegar. Service could have been more engaging especially the chef when I compliment his kare kare. He seemed very timid and barely said thanks.
4 star and not 5 because service could have been better.
I'd go back though. Food was so worth it! -

Amazing and tasty Filipino food. We order from summer house all the time because the food is delicious and you can't beat the pricing! My favorite is the deep fried spicy shrimp and bbq chicken. The dipping sauce is what makes theses dishes so great.
The chef is so friendly and his staff are amazing people as well. Their customer service is great.
We ordered large party trays for take out last minute and the chef didn't turn us down. He kindly took our order and even delivered it to our home. I was so pleased! Thank you so much summer house!
